Parenting Pets Positively

Picture
Do you want your pet to listen by making her afraid of you or because she loves you and wants to make you happy? I hope you answered with the latter.

Here at Pawsitive Parenting, we are all about pet care tips that start and end with good feelings and good lessons.

Our founder is known for animal advocacy as well as positive parenting with both pets and kids.

Whether you parent kids, pets, or both, you'll fit in here!

Keeping Kids Kind

Start young!

Positive feelings about animals start with the way animals are viewed during childhood.

When kids are raised with good feelings toward pets, they are more likely to treat them well as kids and as adults.

A great way to do this is to raise them alongside animals. If this isn't possible, give them experiences around animals as much as you can.

Keep it Consistent and Positive!

Teaching kids about animals should always involve happy feelings and lessons with a positive outcome.

From basic pet care, to love and respect, to full-on pet parenting responsibility, teach your kids to be kind to our furry friends!
